Board of Directors
The Medical University of South Carolina's Alumni Association's board of directors (formally know as the
MUSC Joint Alumni Board) provides oversight for MUSC's alumni programs and evaluates matters of mutual
concern and interest for all the constituent groups. Each college association appoints four
representatives to the Joint Alumni Board. The presidency of the Board rotates among the colleges.

Efforts sponsored by MUSC Joint Alumni Board have included the establishment of an endowment
fund for the Alumni Association, development of a Joint Alumni Board scholarship award of
$2,000 given to a continuing student of a different MUSC college each year, an organization-wide
celebration of the Alumni Association's 100th birthday in 1992, publication of alumni directories
of MUSC graduates and the allocation of a centennial donation of $10,000 to assist with the
restoration of the Medical University of South Carolina's St. Luke's Chapel after Hurricane Hugo.
