News & Events
MUSC is an institution where exciting discoveries and events occur every day. It is important to us to keep our alumni up-to-date on the
many activities happening around campus so we created this section of our site to do just that.
If you have an event or news item that you would like for us to post to our site, please let us know.

Preceptors Needed for Dean's Rural Primary Care Clerkship
The Dean's Rural Primary Care Clerkship is a joint effort between MUSC and USC. This
clerkship is designed to train medical students in the population health perspective.
The clerkship is a four week experience in rural primary care (family medicine and internal medicine
practices participate). Students live in the community and learn to apply the principles of
community-oriented primary care and continuous quality improvement in the provision of
healthcare services. If you are interested in participating as a preceptor, please contact
Dr. Donna Kern at (843) 792-9890, or by e-mail at kerndh@musc.edu.
